English Communication
Objective: Develop fluency and confidence when conversing in English
Duration: 11 weeks
Audience: First and second year university students
Details:
Identify areas of strengths and weaknesses in conversational English
Engage in practical and relevant topics of conversational interest such as the society, economy, health and technology
Understand ways to develop English skills outside of the mentoring sessions
Career Exploration
Objective: Identify careers of interest and create a roadmap for gaining experience and developing career profile
Duration: 12 weeks
Audience: Third and fourth year university students
Details:
Students discover possible careers they may want to explore
Students identify the skills required to succeed in those careers
Introduce career tools such as resumes, LinkedIn profiles and personal statements
Develop an action plan to build students’ career profiles after the end of the program
Career Preparation
Objective: Support students in finding a job after graduation
Duration: 12 weeks
Audience: Fourth year university students
Details:
Identifying a personalised list of job titles and companies
Preparing tailored resumes and cover letters
Understanding how to prepare for and conduct interviews
Learning how to do outreach and network to find roles
Understanding the key skills required to make an impact in a job
Industry Talks
We bring in experts from various industries and professions to share their journeys and engage in discussions with students. This provides mentees a broader perspective on the career opportunities that exist and the paths to achieve them.
